Nordic Walking Taster Session


Length & Grading: 1 mile, easy.


Discover the benefits of using Nordic Walking Poles. During this session you’ll get a chance to have a go at learning the original technique from one of the UK’s most experienced instructors. Starting Point: Shipley Country Park Visitor Centre, Heanor. Meet in the first large car park on the left as you drive into the park along Slack Lane. DE75 7GX. Grid Ref: SK 431 452.

Length & Grading: 9 miles, strenuous.


Join Amber Valley Ramblers for a walk along the edge from Lea to Crich Stand. Descend through Crich Carr to Cromford Canal and then back along the Canal to Lea Bridge. (6-10 stiles). Street parking on lane outside Lea Gardens.

A gently paced 2.5 miles (4km) walk around the Young People’s Forest, led by a member of our Youth Forum. (No stiles).
