Holbrook, Milford & the Chevin Round


Length & Grading: 6 miles, Moderate.


A circular walk from Holbrook, via Milford and up to the Chevin & Firestone, returning via Makeney. Beautiful views and lots of interest, walking on paths and country lanes. Limited parking behind Arkwright Hall. Optional refreshments available at Dead Poets Inn, Chapel Street at walk end. (More than 10 stiles).

Start Time: 10am. Finish: 1.30pm.

West Hallam and Mapperley Circular


Length & Grading: 6.5 miles, Moderate.


Join Erewash Ramblers on this 6.5 mile walk over undulating countryside with three gentle climbs, no steep hills, visiting Mapperley and its castle area. Bring a packed lunch as we will stop for a half hour lunch. (23 stiles). Free parking courtesy of the Newdigate Arms PH – please park at far left back area against the field boundary.
